The film documents the recent restoration and reopening of the Olivetti shop in Piazza San Marco, a place rich in many historical and cultural values and meanings. This is the place where the architect Carlo Scarpa combines his proverbial attention to detail the most extreme care in the use and combination of materials, and represents a unique example in the panorama of the restoration and exhibition of the 50's, both in Italy and internationally. The enlightened patronage of Adriano Olivetti, revolutionary industrialist but also an intellectual, urban designer and publisher, has played a key role in the success of the masterful interpretation of Carlo Scarpa, who managed in such a small area, to create with new perspectives and unique solutions a sort of "theatrical episode."
